The journey of Kadaknath Vinayak Farms started when we first tasted Kadaknath Eggs at my relative’s house and absolutely loved the taste. Right after we went back home and started research about the breed and came across its special nutritional benefits which makes it stand apart.
Vinayak Farms is a dedicated place where Kadaknath chickens are housed or reared in a litter system or in cages. We kept a room temperature of 20° to 26° C and with 50% to 70% humidity to get best in production of eggs. We are committed to providing you the best of farming products, with a focus on reliability and hygiene.
We are a bunch of food enthusiasts and an adventurers who understand global movement towards a healthier food culture. Taking up the mantle of being the biggest provider of the best quality & healthy produce is a big responsibility on us.

We have our own hatchery & a feed processing plant that prepares the feed strictly according to the nutritional requirements of Kadaknath bird.

Know Kadaknath
Nothing less than the ‘natural miracle’, this premium breed is a quality product of nature itself. This bird is completely black – Black plumage, black legs, and toenails, beak, tongue, comb, wattles, meat, bones & even dark organs. This breed has a bachelor’s in adaption and a masters in disease resistance. And of course, an honorary in superb flavour and succulence.
This is the only ‘Black Chicken’ breed in India.
A white leghorn hen is selectively bred to lay 320 – 330 eggs out of 365 days in a year, whereas Kadaknath hen lays around 120 – 130 eggs a year taking the same amount of feed as that of a white leghorn hen. A Kadaknath takes nearly thrice the time to attain half the bodyweight of a broiler chicken. Kadaknath lives till the age of 12 year and only gains a maximum of around 2kg body weight.
Cost of rearing a KADAKNATH is nearly four times higher than that of a regular chicken.

Kadaknath Chicken is very healthy especially in winters, is the meat of a matured chicken. It is very tender, and its taste and texture are quite subtle as compared to white chicken. The only difference is, Kadaknath’s meat is harder and stretchy

There are three types of Kadaknath chicken breeds available such as Jet black, Golden & Pencilled. The only difference between these three breeds is the change in their fur colour. Other features are same amongst them.
